The SAVE A SATO Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for homeless and abused animals on the island of Puerto Rico.

Our organization operates on a 100% volunteer and private donations basis.

We reap the rewards knowing that through our efforts, each of our rehabilitated dogs and cats will eventually be placed into loving and stable homes!

This year we are having TWO REUNIONS, one in Worcester and one in Gloucester. Please join us at the location that is more convenient to you and your family. Both locations offer a wonderful chance to meet the rescuers from Puerto Rico, share stories with other Sato owners, find out more about your pup’s history, and possibly see your dog reunited with long lost siblings.

Find out more about your dog’s background, and maybe meet some siblings!! Meet other rescue families!

  • Snacks—Drinks and snacks available for you and your pet, and a free toy for every dog.
  • Rescue Reunion Raffles—support rescue and win cool prizes
  • Low-cost microchip clinic—Permanent ID for your pet done on the spot for a nominal fee
  • Nail trimming—a perennial favorite for your fussy pup!
  • Photo-buttons—a great way to capture memories

If you would like to help Satos by donating frequent flyer miles, please contact twig@saveasato.org. We will provide a receipt for tax purposes.

Want to help the Shelter? Have you considered our Recurring Giving system. This convenient system allows you to automatically make a donation to the Sterling Shelter every month via credit card or checking account. This is an extremely powerful fundraising method that can allow the Shelter to save thousands of additional animals every year with a donation as small as $2.00 per month from you. Thank you for your support!
