Wanna Help but Can't Make it to the Whisker Walk?

Do you want to help the Shelter but can't make it to the Whisker Walk? You can make an online donation on our Pets and Programs website. You could mail a check to our Shelter made payable to "Animal Shelter Inc - Whisker Walk donation". We will be happy to send you a tax receipt! For donations of $25 or more, we will also send you a Whisker Walk tee shirt—make sure you include your shirt size with your donation!

What's a Whisker Walk?

It is a lot of things, but mostly it is a FREE and fun event for families and their dogs. There is also a dog walk-a-thon fundraiser to benefit our Shelter, as well as other New England-based shelters and rescue groups that participate. Each shelter and rescue group is encouraged to get their adopters and supporters to participate in the event. It is a lot of fun and thousands of people and their dogs join in the fun each year.

The 2009 Whisker Walk brought in almost a 100 animal-related rescue groups, and pet-related vendors, manufacturers, and sponsors for a one of a kind event not to be missed for pet lovers. The 2010 Whisker Walk is sure to be bigger and better!

The event is held at the Lancaster Fairground in Lancaster, MA (Route 117) also known as the Home of the Bolton Fair. There are 50+ acres for pet owners and animal lovers to enjoy. The fairground is easily accessible from all over New England. Come see exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs, special attractions, product giveaways, entertainment, auctions and raffles, food, fun and things for adults and kids to see, do and buy—both human and pet related!
